RepPulse Privacy Policy

Effective date: 6 November 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile app RepPulse: Gym Workout Log (Android package com.lethang.reppulse, “the app”) processes personal data. It applies only to the app. Our website has its own Privacy Policy.

1. Controller

ME Toolkit Studio
Friedrichstraße 68
10117 Berlin, Germany
Email: hello@me-toolkit.com

2. Training data stays on your device

Everything you enter in the app – workouts, exercises, sets, notes, routines, body weight, body measurements, the TDEE calculator profile (age, height, sex, activity level) and settings – is stored only in a local database on your device. This data is never sent to us or to advertisers. We do not run servers for the app, do not create user accounts, and cannot access, view or restore your data. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes it.

3. Backups and exports

If you use Export backup (JSON) or Export spreadsheet (CSV), the app creates the file on your device and hands it to the Android share menu. The app or service you choose (for example Google Drive or a messenger) processes it under its own privacy policy. Restore from backup only reads the file you pick. Nothing is transferred unless you do this yourself.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app shows ads through Google AdMob, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. To deliver, measure and limit ads and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects:

  • the advertising ID of your device (Android Advertising ID),
  • your IP address and the approximate location derived from it,
  • device and app information (device model, operating system, app version, language),
  • interactions with ads (views, clicks) and SDK diagnostics such as crash data.

Your training data is never passed to Google or any advertiser. Ads are shown on the history, exercise and tools screens and occasionally after you finish a workout, never while a workout is in progress.

Consent (EEA, UK, Switzerland): when you start the app for the first time, a consent message from Google’s User Messaging Platform asks whether you agree to personalised advertising. Personalised ads are shown only if you consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Without consent, Google may show non-personalised or limited ads, which still requires processing of technical data such as the IP address to deliver the ad (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is financing a free app). You can change your choice at any time in the app under Settings › Ad privacy choices.

You can also reset or delete your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads). Google acts as an independent controller for this data. More information: How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

5. Notifications

The rest timer schedules a local notification on your device to tell you when your rest period is over. It is created on the device; no data is sent to us. You can turn notifications off in Android settings at any time.

6. Transfers outside the EU

Google may process data in the United States and other countries. Google LLC is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and Google also uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. Retention

Data on your device stays until you delete it in the app, clear the app data or uninstall the app. Data collected by Google is retained according to Google’s retention policies.

8. Children

The app is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future. Because we do not store personal data about you, requests concerning ad data are best directed to Google; we will gladly help. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).

10. Permissions

The app requests Internet and network-state access to load ads, permission to post notifications for the rest timer, and vibration for haptic feedback. The Google Mobile Ads SDK additionally declares the advertising ID permissions (com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID and the Android Ad Services permissions) used for the advertising purposes described above. The app does not access your camera, microphone, contacts or location; files are only read or written when you choose to import or export a backup.

11. Health information

RepPulse is a fitness logging tool, not a medical device, and gives no medical advice. Body weight, measurements and calculator results remain on your device as described in section 2.

12. Changes

We may update this policy when the app changes. The current version is always available at this address, with the date at the top.
